Chicken Dum Aloo
Chicken Dum Aloo

Ingredients
- Chicken ½ kg
- Onion chopped 1
- Curry leaves a branch
- Capsicum chopped 1
- Tomatoes boiled 3
- Potatoes 3
- Dry red chilies 5 – 6
- Yogurt 125 gm
- Oil ¼ cup
- All spice powder 1 tsp
- Coriander powder 1 tsp
- Chili powder 1 tsp
- Cumin powder 1 tsp
- Turmeric 1 tsp
- Nutmeg mace powder ½ tsp
- Tomato puree 2 tbsp
- Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
- Water 1 - 1 ½ cup
- Whole spices as required
- Oil for fry
- Salt to taste
Method
- Cut 3 potatoes into cubes and deep fry till golden brown, remove from oil and keep aside.Heat ¼ cup oil in a wok, add 1 chopped onion, mix whole spices and 1 branch of curry leaves, fry well for few minutes.Now add ½ kg chicken and fry till its color turn to golden brown.
- Add 1 chopped capsicum, 125 gm yogurt, 2 tbsp tomato puree, 3 boiled chopped tomatoes and 5 – 6 dry red chilies cut into halves.Cook for few seconds, then add 1 tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp turmeric and 1 tsp nutmeg mace powder. Fry well for few seconds. Add 1 cup water.
- Also add fried potatoes, cover and cook for 8 – 10 minutes,Now remove lid, fry well on high flame.Add 1 tsp all spice powder, fry very well till water dries.Dish it out and serve hot.
